Why Gastite/Watertite?
Noticing the rising demand in the market for a high-quality leak-free PEX piping system, our experts started testing and researching to design a system that can offer installers peace of mind. During the process, we also noticed that many of our plumbers are gasfitters. So, we came up with the idea: ‘What if we can design a PEX system that can be used for both gas and water, thus saving time and money for installers?’ And that’s where GasTite and WaterTite were introduced.
While GasTite offers installers the benefits of both metal and plastic as a multilayer (PEX-AL-PEX) pipe system designed for gas applications, Watertite is both a monolayer (PEX) and multilayer (PEX-AL-PEX) piping system designed for potable water and heating applications. In addition, both press-fit systems come with a wide range of durable DZR brass fittings from 16mm, 20mm, and 25mm to even 32mm.

The introduction of Gastite and Watertite marked a milestone on our innovative journey to help make your jobs easier, more convenient, and more cost-effective. The fittings are manufactured with two O-rings on each bar specifically designed to seal against both escape gas and water.
As the fittings and tools are compatible, installers can now use them for gas or plumbing jobs.
When designing these systems, LEAP aims to support our current customers in expanding their services.
Gasfitters and plumbers can now acquire the license and pick up more jobs without having to learn a new system.
Installers who are already certified for gas fitting and plumbing can switch between these easily and won’t have to worry about carrying unnecessary stocks from different brands.
What Else To Know?
When servicing a gas job, the GasTite/WaterTite fittings must be connected to the yellow PEX-AL-PEX pipes. If the fittings are used for plumbing only, they can be connected to either PEX or PEX-AL-PEX pipes (white, black, red, or lilac).
LEAP also offers pipes in either straights or coils.
The WaterTite system is also available in push-fit fittings sizing up to 25mm.
